The U.S. circuit court ruled that it will not order my name to be
placed on the ballot.
I could continue to appeal, but legal counsel advises that any
favorable ruling would come too late for the Board of Elections to
place my name on the November ballot.
Therefore, I will not continue to appeal, and I will not appear on
the November ballot.
I have fought the good fight--to give conservative voters in the
15th congressional district the chance to vote for a real
conservative, not a middle of the roader.
Unfortunately, this November, a significant number of conservative
voters in the 15th district have no candidate for Congress. I will
vote for *neither*.
Plans for my political future are uncertain. I own a successful
business. I didn't run for Congress because I need a job. Unlike my
opponents, *I am a taxpayer, not a tax spender*.
I may run in 2008, but only if I enough people both share my view
that conservative voters should have real choices and come forward
to support my campaign with their time and money.
I am grateful to all those who have helped with the campaign these
past six years and the more than 2,300 people in Franklin, Madison,
and Union counties who signed my nomination petitions earlier this
year.
